Natalie Schmidt is a DE based artist whose dreamlike work finds comfort in eeriness. Schmidt primarily conveys her inner worlds through illustration, photography, animation, ceramics, and music. In 2023, Schmidt's photo illustration series, "Flood," won first place in the Society of Publication Designer's Student Competition under the Portrait Photography category and earned her a summer photography mentorship.

 

Schmidt has created illustration, animation, and 3D modeling works for Summer Scholars twice and Winter Fellows once. In 2023, Schmidt was awarded the Lynn Herrick Sharp Award, granting her a group exhibition at The Delaware Contemporary. Her work has been shown in five other juried shows, such as at PhotoLounge and the Newark Arts Alliance. Schmidt received her BFA in Fine Arts at the University of Delaware in May 2024.
